Dreame D10 Plus Gen 2 — Robot Vacuum & Mop

I was sceptical about budget robot vacuums, but the D10 Plus Gen 2 changed my mind. The LiDAR navigation is remarkably accurate for this price range. It maps my flat perfectly and cleans in neat rows rather than bouncing around randomly. The 75-day auto-empty station is a brilliant addition.

We have a cat and a small dog, and the D10 Plus Gen 2 handles their hair quite well on our hardwood floors. The auto-empty station means I barely think about it. The mopping feature is very basic though — just a damp cloth being dragged around. For proper mopping, you would need a higher-end model.

Our three-bedroom house is about 110 sq m and this robot cleans it all on a single charge with room to spare. The LiDAR mapping is spot-on and the app gives you loads of customisation options. Cannot fault it for what it costs.

Perfect for daily maintenance on hard floors. The 5,000 Pa suction handles dust and crumbs easily. It struggles a bit on our thick bedroom carpet though, leaving some deeper debris behind. The station is a reasonable size and the noise level is acceptable. Good value overall.

The navigation is genuinely good for this price bracket and the auto-empty station works reliably. My main gripe is the obstacle avoidance — it relies on bumper sensors rather than cameras, so it bumps into chair legs and shoes before changing direction. The mopping pad barely moistens the floor. If your expectations are realistic for an entry-level model, it is a fair purchase.
