176F hot water mopping is incredible

The L40s Pro Ultra mops at 176°F — the hottest I have seen on any robot. Kitchen grease, muddy footprints, dried spills: one pass and they are gone. The hot air drying keeps the mops pristine between cleans. The HyperStream DuoBrush never tangles despite my daughter's long hair everywhere. An outstanding machine from top to bottom.

OmniSight 2.0 is noticeably sharper

Having used the L40 Ultra with OmniSight 1.0, the upgrade to 2.0 on the L40s Pro Ultra is tangible. Detection is faster and catches smaller objects like thin cables more reliably. The 15,000 Pa Vormax suction outperforms the L40 on our carpets. The 176°F mopping is a genuine hygiene premium. The only trade-off is slightly lower runtime (210 vs 225 min).

Premium tech with minor trade-offs

The L40s Pro Ultra is packed with premium technology: Vormax 15,000 Pa, OmniSight 2.0, HyperStream DuoBrush, 176°F mopping. Cleaning quality on our 100 sq m home is exceptional. The trade-off is 210 minutes of runtime, slightly below the L40's 225 min, and a substantial price tag. For medium-sized homes though, it is the ideal robot.

Excellent but the L50 Ultra goes further

The L40s Pro Ultra delivers superb performance. 15,000 Pa suction, 176°F mopping and OmniSight 2.0 all work brilliantly. However, for a similar outlay, the L50 Ultra provides 19,000 Pa, 12 mm mop lifting and 90-day auto-emptying versus 75 days. If you want the best in the L series without jumping to the X series, the L50 is the smarter purchase.
