The Ecceluxe Master is Dreame's automatic espresso machine: it grinds, doses and extracts without any portafilter handling. A colour screen gives access to six drinks made with a single press. It also adds a feature that is less common on this kind of machine: one-touch cold brew, for those who drink their coffee cold for much of the year.
Grind, pressure and temperature
The grinder has 9 settings, so you can adjust the fineness to the beans and the taste you are after, and dosing is described as precise. Extraction runs at 19 bar with temperature control. In practice, as with any bean-to-cup machine, expect a few attempts before you find the right setting for your coffee.
Cleaning that largely takes care of itself
Dreame highlights a self-cleaning circuit covering the brewing unit, the milk system and descaling. That matters day to day, as upkeep is often what puts people off automatic machines. You will still need a 40 x 27.5 x 41.1 cm space on the worktop, and our spec sheet does not give the water tank or bean hopper capacity.
