The Z1 covers the essentials for a pool robot: floor, walls and waterline, 240 minutes of runtime, dual brushing and pool-shape recognition. Automatic edge parking partly offsets its 16.5 kg weight when it is time to lift it out. The average rating we recorded is somewhat modest, so it is worth reading recent feedback before you buy.

Dreame Z1 : complete overview
A robot that adapts to the shape of the pool The Dreame Z1 cleans the floor, walls and waterline of pools up to 180 m². Its PoolSense technology uses AI to detect the shape of the pool, and the robot then plans its routes accordingly. The aim is to avoid going over the same spot repeatedly and to cover every surface more evenly, even in irregularly shaped pools.
Suction and scrubbing Two brushless pump motors deliver a flow rate of 30 m³/h, backed by dual brushing to loosen deposits. Claimed runtime is 240 minutes, enough to clean a large pool in a single session. Waterline cleaning is a real bonus, as that is where greasy marks from sun cream tend to form.
Retrieval and points to watch At the end of a cycle, the robot parks itself at the edge to make lifting it out easier, which matters for a 16.5 kg machine. The average rating we recorded, 3.4 out of 5 from nearly 70 reviews, leaves room for improvement, so take time to read recent feedback before deciding.
